The European Board of NLP (http://www.ebnlp.net) was established to support the following purposes by organizing and bringing together to a joint effort NLP institutions operating primarily in European countries.

1. Include local language patterns and peculiarities in a way that maximizes the effectiveness of the NLP model.

2. Preserve the principles and methods of NLP and shield them from misinterpretation and erroneous applications.

3. Adapt and develop NLP techniques into protocols for various professional fields and activities, the aim being their effective application towards changing existing misconceptions about NLP in various academic fields.

4. Create an information platform split into professional fields that would serve to publish related articles and studies, and promote the idea of combining NLP with academic fields in universities and foundations.
